I've never been so amazed at how God moves people than after what I saw today. It wasn't some fancy heart-wrenching video, or anything that would tug at heartstrings. But it was the honesty and humility of 17 people, standing on a stage, being blessed beyond measure with prayer support and being commissioned as a mission team together. And when we thought we'd raise a few extra bucks to help out with our trip, we were taken aback, and humbled further by the generosity of hundreds of people.
People we didn't even know, coming from every angle, some even not wanting a token of our appreciation for their support, but just wanting to give towards the cause we are supporting. Never in my life have I been able to see the way god moves hearts and provides for moments & times like these. I pray that he would get the Glory and not anyone of us, and I thank him for drawing all the people to us that he did, and moving in the ones who he didn't.
Seeing how we were blessed beyond measure just in this initial effort, I know that God has HUGE... read H..U..G..E plans for us when the team makes it to Waveland Mississippi, on Feb 2nd, 2008. for anyone who reads this, all your prayers are much needed, and extremely appreciated.

I know exactly what you're saying as far as describing your Sunday missions experience...when God shows up by sending people to encourage...there's nothing like it!

Thanks Marcia!! We've all been experiencing setbacks & issues throughout the team, we need all the intercessors we can get. I have a feeling the Enemy knows what good we are going to do and is throwing all he's got at us because of it..

Brad...I've learned through our experiences and other missionaries have shared the same sentiment...satan works through doom and discouragement in missions...I will pray against these strongholds!
Romans 8:11 (paraphrased) tells us that the SAME mighty power by which God raised Jesus from the dead is the SAME power which is working for and in us who believe.
Lord show your mighty power within this team! Don't let satan steal any of your power and glory!!
